Star Dress

This is my final project for costume construction. We had to make a garment from start to finish. I decided on making a dress with a circle skirt and a bodice. Using an online pattern, I taped the pattern together, laid my fabric out, cut out my pattern, and began assembling the dress. The hardest part was sewing in the lapped zipper because it is hidden. The ruffle was also a little confusing, since I ended up not having enough sun and moon fabric and had to patch work it together. I then finished the whole dress with a light blue, shimmery trim around the ruffle and neckline.
