Imagined Environment

For this project, we had complete freedom to come up with the sounds of an environment. I decided to base mine off of an old mix media painting I did in highschool. I wanted to invoke the feelings of peace, warmth, a the flow of a river. I also wanted it to get all the textures of the various supplies used to create the artwork.

Historical Perspective

I got the time period ancient and my initial thoughts were ancient Greece/Egypt as well as brassy instruments. I started my process off with research of instruments used in ancient Egypt, found an song from ancient Greece, and built it up from there. I essentially created 3 “scenes” in the life of someone from that time. With temple, then farming, to going to the market.
