Red Velvet

My last project at LSU was assisting the scenic designer, Apollo Weaver, with the designs. My role in the process involved doing my own research on the era/play, creating paint elevations, presenting at the designer meeting, and executing the paint treatments. My inspiration and ideas in the color story drew from what our costume designer, Amara Copeland, presented. I wanted to complement her ideas to tell a cohesive story. The biggest challenge with this show was keeping up with deadlines as we lost a work week do to inclement weather, but we were able to effectively adapt.
